With a lifelong passion for natural history, I've been birding for as long as I can remember. I have undertaken a range of avian research roles globally, with a particular focus on bird observatories. These experiences have allowed me to enjoy the hands-on aspects of fieldwork while gaining a deep appreciation for the scientific background that underpins ecological monitoring. Having spent my childhood outdoors, seldom far from a pair of binoculars, I’ve been fortunate to receive many opportunities that have helped shape my career. This has motivated me to provide similar opportunities and guidance to other naturalists, all while working to advance the understanding and protection of wildlife. I have a strong passion for avian migration and particularly enjoy studying the moult of birds up close.
